Honorable Pascal Agbodike, representing Ihiala Federal Constituency of Anambra State, has praised the 2025 Appropriation Bill as a “budget of economy transformation.” Speaking to journalists after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu presented the proposed 2025 budget to the National Assembly, Agbodike expressed optimism about the budget’s potential to address Nigeria’s dwindling economy.

“The President just presented the 2025 budget, and I call it the budget of economy transformation, owing to the present situation of the economy, it has been dwindling for the past years,” Agbodike said. “But from the efforts of Mr. President, he’s getting it right, and has promised that Nigerians should expect positive change.”

Agbodike emphasized the importance of taxation in funding the budget, urging Nigerians to cultivate a culture of tax payment. “When you refuse to contribute your quota, how can this nation move forward? You are not paying tax to the ruling party nor are you paying to Mr. President. But you are to Nigeria, hence we can come together and jettison any form of nepotism.”

He also encouraged opposition parties to engage in constructive criticism of the present administration. “When the ruling party is getting it right, we have no option than to support what they are doing; our criticism should be constructive. Mr. President is trying, and he needs our support to deliver on his Renewed Hope Agenda.”
