The initiative, part of his economic intervention project, includes 2,000 bags of rice, 2,000 cartons of spaghetti, and ₦10 million to be shared among beneficiaries.

Speaking during the distribution exercise in Gusau on Monday, Mr Maipalace said the gesture was aimed at supporting vulnerable residents and improving their welfare amid the prevailing economic hardship.

Represented by his secretary, Mustafa Hassan, the lawmaker explained that each beneficiary would receive a 50kg bag of rice and a packet of spaghetti, adding that the assistance targeted vulnerable persons, less-privileged households, women and youth groups, politicians, religious and community leaders.

“We procured thousands of packets of assorted food items to make life easier for my constituents. We are targeting no fewer than 2,000 households from various groups in Gusau and Tsafe,” he said.

Some beneficiaries, including Salamatu Ishaq and Aminu Muhammad, expressed appreciation to the lawmaker for the support, describing it as timely relief for their families.
