The Directorate of Research and Information of the National Assembly has announced plans to commission its newly completed ultra-modern newsroom.
In a statement signed by the Secretary of the Directorate, Ali B. Umoru, the facility will be inaugurated by the Clerk to the National Assembly on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 12 noon.
The ceremony will hold at Room 1.310, Annex I, Third Floor of the National Assembly Complex.
Umoru said the newsroom forms part of efforts to strengthen and modernise the communication infrastructure of the National Assembly.
According to him, the facility is designed to enhance information gathering, processing and dissemination, as well as provide a technologically advanced working environment for media and information officers.
He added that the commissioning reflects the leadership’s commitment to institutional efficiency, transparency and improved public engagement through timely communication.
The directorate urged invited guests to be seated before the commencement of the event.
