Royalprince Media Services has announced that the maiden edition of the Emporium Leadership Lecture and Awards will be held on June 25, 2026, in Abuja, as part of activities marking the 10th anniversary of Emporium Reporters.
According to a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the event is aimed at recognising outstanding leadership, institutional excellence, and notable contributions to national development.
The lecture, themed “From Clicks to Credibility: Digital Media’s Role in Deepening Nigeria’s Democracy,” will explore how digital platforms can promote credible information, responsible journalism, accountability, and democratic growth in the country.
The statement noted that the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Chief Sunday Akinlabi Dare, will chair the event, while the Publisher of World Entourage Magazine, Abdullahi O. Haruna Haruspice, is expected to deliver the keynote address.
Dignitaries expected at the event include the President of the Senate, Senator Godswill Akpabio, who will serve as Special Guest of Honour, as well as the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris.
Others listed are the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps, Brig.-Gen. Olakunle Nafiu; the Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s successor, IGP Olatunji Disu; Executive Secretary of the National Human Rights Commission, Tony Ojukwu (SAN); and the Director-General of the National Orientation Agency, Lanre Issa-Onilu.
The organisers disclosed that several individuals and organisations would be honoured for their exceptional service and leadership across different sectors.
Among the awardees are ACC John Attah Onoja of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Mining Marshals; Abdur-Rahman Balogun of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission; Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adeniyi; and Senator Francis Fadahunsi, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Industry.
Others include the Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, FCT Council, Grace Ike; Fame Foundation for Gender Advocacy and Social Impact; energy consultant, Dr Wisdom Enang; former lawmaker, Abdullahi Mahmud Gaya; and Founder of InnoBec Business School, Dr Innocent Odey.
Also listed are the Chief Operating Officer of InvestData Consulting Limited, Ambrose Omordion, and the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria, Jibrin Baba Ndace.
Speaking on the initiative, the Publisher and Chief Executive Officer of Royalprince Media Services, Lukman Laleye Babalola, said the event underscores the organisation’s commitment to promoting credible journalism and responsible leadership.

The event will also feature the unveiling of a special commemorative edition of Emporium Magazine, highlighting achievements of notable personalities and institutions.
He added that the gathering is expected to attract top government officials, media practitioners, corporate leaders, and policymakers committed to strengthening democratic values and credible communication in Nigeria.
