The All Progressives Congress has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the conduct of primary elections ahead of the 2026 legislative bye-elections and the restoration of previously suppressed State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi states.
The timetable covers the party’s primary elections for the affected constituencies, according to a statement signed by the APC National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu.
The party said the Independent National Electoral Commission had restored four previously suppressed State House of Assembly constituencies in Delta and Kogi states.
The affected constituencies are Abraka, Isoko North II and Ughelli South II in Delta State, as well as Yagba West II in Kogi State.
The APC also scheduled primary elections for legislative bye-elections in Gombe/Kwami/Funakaye Federal Constituency in Gombe State; Disina and Sakwa State Constituencies in Bauchi State; Udu State Constituency in Delta State; and Dawakin Kudu State Constituency in Kano State.
Argungu urged the party’s chapters in the affected states to take note of the timetable and make the necessary preparations for the primary elections.
The APC said the schedule was designed to guide the party’s structures and aspirants through the process leading to the conduct of the primaries for the affected constituencies.
The development comes as political parties begin preparations for the legislative bye-elections and the contests in the four State House of Assembly constituencies restored by INEC.
