HallowMace Foundation Africa has welcomed the decision of the National Assembly leadership to unseal the office of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District.
The media and advocacy group described the move as a positive step toward restoring normalcy and productivity in the Senate following the senator’s prolonged suspension.
In a statement signed by its Executive Director, Amb. Anderson Osiebe, and Head of Public Communications, Amb. Oguh Hyginus John, the foundation commended the maturity demonstrated by the Senate leadership in resolving the matter.
The group, however, advised Senator Natasha to consider withdrawing her pending court case against the National Assembly in order to foster unity, administrative synergy, and effective collaboration within the Red Chamber.
It further urged all stakeholders to place national interest above personal or political sentiments, noting that lessons learned from the episode should help strengthen Nigeria’s legislative process.
