Hon. Sessi Oluwaseun Whingan, representing Badagry Federal Constituency of Lagos State, has commended President Bola Tinubu for recognizing the sacrifices of Nigeria’s democratic heroes and rallying the youth behind the administration’s long-term vision for national growth.
According to Hon. Sessi, the President’s Democracy Day tribute is a significant gesture that acknowledges the struggles of those who fought for Nigeria’s democracy. “When you do the right thing, even your enemies will agree with you,” he said, highlighting the rare unity of voices supporting the President’s message.

Hon. Sessi likened Nigeria’s current state to a patient undergoing treatment, saying, “When you are sick, you take medication, but healing takes time. That is where we are as a nation. The President is laying a concrete foundation for a greater economy and a greater Nigeria.”
On the role of youth in nation-building, Hon. Sessi affirmed full support from the younger generation. “The future belongs to us. We see that the government’s policies today align with the vision of the youth,” he stated, calling for continuous policy evaluation to ensure they reflect the aspirations of Nigeria’s vibrant and dynamic young population.
Hon. Sessi further expressed optimism in Nigeria’s democratic journey, lauding the President’s commitment to inclusive governance and national healing. “We thank Mr. President and believe in the people’s democracy,” he said.
