The National Assembly has postponed the resumption of its plenary activities by two weeks. Lawmakers, who were initially expected to reconvene on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, will now resume on Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, Esq., disclosed this in a statement on Monday, explaining that the adjustment was at the directive of the Presiding Officers of both Chambers.
While plenary sessions have been shifted, Ogunlana clarified that committee activities will continue as scheduled.
“All Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members are requested to take note of the new date and adjust their schedules accordingly,” the Clerk said.
He added that any inconvenience the rescheduling might cause lawmakers or the public is deeply regretted.
The resumption of plenary marks the continuation of legislative business after the lawmakers’ annual recess.
