The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has announced the successful upgrade of its diaspora enrolment platform to ensure a more efficient, secure, and user-friendly process for Nigerians living abroad.
in a statement signed by the Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC, Dr. Kayode Adegoke, the upgrade will deliver a seamless, robust, more secure, efficient and effective NIN service delivery to Nigerians in the Diaspora.
As part of the process, all NIMC Diaspora Front-End Partners (FEPs) have been onboarded onto the new system and given intensive training to ensure they can effectively manage the upgraded platform.
“To ensure effective service delivery and smooth management of the NIN enrolment in the Diaspora, we have successfully upgraded our enrolment platform. This marks a significant step towards making NIN registration more accessible and reliable for Nigerians abroad,” Dr Adegoke said.
The Commission has directed all Diaspora FEPs to obtain and activate their NIN enrolment licenses on the upgraded platform within 48 hours. Nigerians abroad can now access enrolment services from compliant FEPs immediately.
NIMC apologised for any inconvenience caused during the upgrade process and assured applicants of dedicated support.
“We have set up a dedicated service team to resolve all issues related to diaspora enrolment. Nigerians experiencing challenges should contact us via nimccustomercare@nimc.gov.ng for timely resolution,” Dr. Adegoke added.
Meanwhile, NIN enrolment is ongoing in all centres across Nigeria. Applicants can locate their nearest centre via the NIMC website, www.nimc.gov.ng.
The Commission also reminded Nigerians that they can modify their NIN data through the self-service portal at https://selfservicemodification.nimc.gov.ng.
Additionally, NIN holders are encouraged to download the NIMC NINAuth App on iOS or Google Play Store to instantly verify their NINs, control who sees their personal information, and enjoy secure verification and authentication services.
