The National Assembly of Nigeria will resume plenary sessions on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., the Office of the Clerk has announced.
In a statement issued on behalf of the management, the Clerk to the National Assembly, Kamoru Ogunlana, urged all Distinguished Senators and Honourable Members to adjust their schedules and ensure full participation in the sitting.
According to the notice, both chambers the Senate and the House of Representatives are expected to consider and take decisions on key legislative matters during the plenary.
The Clerk stressed the importance of attendance, noting that critical motions, bills and resolutions are slated for deliberation as part of the legislature’s ongoing responsibilities.
He added that the resumption underscores the commitment of the National Assembly to sustain uninterrupted legislative business and address pressing national issues.
The upcoming sitting is regarded as pivotal in the legislative calendar, particularly as lawmakers continue oversight functions and policy reviews aimed at strengthening governance and accountability.
