A former Kogi State Commissioner for Rural Development, Hon. Daniel Oneal Ejigbo, has declared his ambition to represent the people of the Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, pledging to attract development projects, jobs, and opportunities to the area if elected.
Daniel Oneal Ejigbo, who also previously worked at the National Assembly for over a decade and served twice as Commissioner for Rural Development in Kogi State, said his experience places him in a strong position to advance the constituency’s interests at the national level.
Addressing constituents, Ejigbo stressed the need for equity and inclusiveness in the rotation of political representation across the area.
He explained that while Dekina and Okura districts have each produced representatives three times, and Bassa twice, Biraidu District has yet to produce a representative in the National Assembly.
According to him, this imbalance must be corrected in the interest of fairness and unity.
“This is not about division; it is about fairness and balance. Every part of our constituency deserves a voice and a sense of belonging,” he said.

Ejigbo maintained that if given the mandate, he would leverage his lobbying capacity, governance experience, and development network to attract federal projects and programmes that would benefit communities across the constituency.
He further argued that giving Biraidu District a chance would deepen unity and ensure equitable development across all sections of the constituency.
The aspirant urged constituents to support his ambition, saying his priority would be to strengthen representation and deliver tangible development.
“Dekina/Bassa deserves better. Biraidu deserves its turn,” Ejigbo declared.
