Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury marked his return to the ring with a dominant unanimous decision victory over Arslanbek Makhmudov at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday.
Fury secured the bout with convincing scorecards of 120-108 from two judges, while the third scored it 119-109 after the full 12 rounds, underlining the Briton’s control throughout the contest.
Makhmudov began brightly, landing an early left and connecting with an overhand right in the opening round. However, Fury quickly settled into rhythm, using his trademark movement and ring intelligence to dictate proceedings.
By the third round, the Russian was already showing signs of fatigue as Fury switched stances effortlessly and punished him with a clean one-two to the chin.
The fight maintained a similar pattern until the final bell, with Fury comfortably outboxing his opponent and avoiding any sustained threat.
Speaking after the bout, Fury suggested he is now focused on a potential “Battle of Britain” clash with fellow former heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua, who was present at ringside.
